RESUSCITATOR BAG (ADULT, PEDIATRIC & NEONATAL)

GENERIC NAME: PULMONARY RESUSCITATOR

INTENDED USE: A hand-operated device designed to provide or assist ventilation in patients who are apneic or exhibit inadequate respiration.

 

SPECIFICATION:

An Resuscitator bag is a handheld device commonly used to provide positive pressure ventilation to patients who are not breathing or not breathing adequately. It is an essential tool in emergency medical settings, such as hospitals, ambulances, and in the field by first responders.

  1. Bag:

(i.) Material: Typically made of silicone & Autoclavable and latex free.

  1. Valve System:

(i.) One-Way Valve: Ensures air flows from the bag to the patient and not the other way around. This                        valve is usually located between the bag and the mask.

(ii.) Exhalation Port: Allows exhaled air to escape while preventing inhaled air from escaping.

(iii.) Reservoir Valve: Often part of the system to allow for higher oxygen concentrations when connected to an oxygen source.

(i.) Material: Soft, transparent silicone.

  1. Oxygen Reservoir:

(ii.) Connection to Oxygen Source: Allows for the attachment to an external oxygen supply to deliver    nearly 100% oxygen.
